Individual Sessions – Cost per session is $112.30 For those eligible for Medicare rebate there is a rebate of $82.30 which means the gap is $30. In special circumstances some Medicare clients may be bulk billed.
Comprehensive Relationship Assessment and Treatment Plan. This involves 3 counselling sessions and completion of an online questionnaire… $450 for the complete assessment which includes the questionnaire and treatment plan. Treatment/Intervention sessions after this $140 per session.
General Relationship Counselling for less complex situations. $140 per session.
Professional Supervision- $150 per session.
Home Visits. These can occasionally occur. There will be an additional cost for a home visit.
At times all fees can be negotiated according to need.
Rebates from some health care funds may be able to be organised. This includes Bupa and Teachers Health.
To Access Medicare Rebate.
Some services may be claimable under Medicare. In order to activate Medicare the following needs to occur.
- Visit your Doctor and ask whether you are eligible for a Mental Health Treatment Plan. This may need to be a longer appt with your doctor.
- The doctor will ask you some questions and need to complete two paperwork items. Firstly, he/she will need to complete a Mental Health Treatment Plan. He will also need to write a doctors referral letter to Joy Ephraums at Cara Counselling and Consultancy.
- Bring both the treatment plan and referral to your first appt.
- Although this process takes a little time, most people advise it is quite straightforward.
